How a review works

You don't have to trust the operator. Verify the chain.

A VERIMESH review does not rely solely on the operator's account. Cryptographic continuity allows the recorded evidence to be checked independently, from start to finish. Here's the procedure.

01

Request the review surface

On site, the operator opens the local review surface — no cloud account, no VPN, no vendor involvement. Your review session is itself recorded as a receipt, so the fact of your inspection enters the same chain you're inspecting.

02

Pick any window of time

Choose a date range, a device, a batch, a shift. The surface shows every receipt in that window in chain order — including outage periods, which appear as recorded transitions, not gaps.

03

Verify continuity, not sincerity

Each receipt carries the hash of its predecessor. The surface verifies the whole segment in front of you; a broken link indicates that a record may be missing, altered or corrupted, and identifies the precise point at which continuity failed. You are checking arithmetic, not taking anyone's word.

04

Take a verifiable extract

If you need evidence off-site, the operator exports the chain segment you select. The export is self-verifying — you can re-check its continuity later, on your own machines, without contacting the site or the vendor. The export decision is, of course, another receipt.

What you can and cannot rely on

The chain can demonstrate

  • That the presented receipts remain linked in the recorded order
  • Whether any record within the verified segment has been changed or removed
  • Which authorised device identity signed or recorded each receipt
  • When each receipt was recorded according to the trusted system clock
  • Every recorded review, release and export affecting the evidence

Continuity is verified against the selected chain boundaries and trusted checkpoints.

The chain cannot prove

  • That the physical event described actually happened as stated
  • That an event which was never recorded didn't occur

No system can. VERIMESH is honest about the boundary — which is exactly what makes the rest of it credible.
